NRA First Step Pistol - Regular $200. Purchase of any new firearm from Red DOT course cost is $180.  $20 savings!!!


Length of Class: 4 hours 
Taught at: Red DOT Firearms (Classroom portion) Live-fire at TBA

Instructor: NRA Certified Instructor

Course Description:  New or perspective firearm owners are encouraged to take this course.  This course will help you to decide which firearm is comfortable for you! This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.  The course is approximately 4 hours and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.

You will learn the NRA's rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts & operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the benchrest position and cleaning the pistol.

Prerequisites:  None.

Course Lessons:


Lesson 1:  Introduction to Pistol Safety, Parts and Operation
Lesson 2:  Introduction to Ammunition and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
Lesson 3:  Introduction to Pistol Shooting from the Benchrest Position
Lesson 4:  Introduction to Pistol Cleaning, Storage and Training Opportunities


Upon Course completion, students will receive feedback on all live-fire exercises.
Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook. NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Examination and course completion certificate.


This course satisfies practical requirements for the Florida Non-Resident Conceal Carry Permit.

Required Equipment:


*  If you do not have a firearm, a selection will be provided during the class.
*  If you do have a firearm, please bring it along with one box of ammunition (50 rounds). 
*  This course is all inclusive: Class, Certificate, Materials, Range Time, Targets, Eye and Ear Protection. Firearm rental from the range is not included in cost.
*  Please wear comfortable clothing. No open-toed shoes or low cut shirts.

Utah CCW


Length of Class: 4 hours 
Taught at: Red DOT Firearms

Instructor: GUN FOR HIRE 

Course Description: UTAH CCW If you were born in the US, just bring you drivers license. Otherwise, we need a copy of your naturalization papers. It is all class room theory, no firearms involved. See you at the class. Utah Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit. Time to add this one to your wallet or purse. Recognized in 32 States. This permit adds Washington State and Minnesota over your Florida Non-Resident CCW. The permit is good for 5 years and the renewal only costs $15.00! We are offering the Entire package from start to finish in one session. Class Application Prints Notary Photo Postage (we mail it out) Application Fee ($51.00) For an all inclusive cost of $200.00 In order to apply you must attend our Utah Course (see our calendar below for upcoming courses if you would like to attend and email us for confirmation). Non-resident permit holders who reside in a state that Utah has reciprocity or recognition with must also supply proof of having obtained a permit from their state of residence
